Retailers will be growing on Black Friday this year. While the annual sales event typically kicks off on the Friday following Thanksgiving Day (or sometimes that night), retailers like Walmart and Target run an entire month of Black Friday deals.
Target’s Black Friday sale begins on Sunday, October 31, and new sales are introduced every week. Walmart is doing something similar with what the company calls “Black Friday Deals for Days”.
Basically, Black Friday is divided into three events that span the entire month of November. Offers will first be offered online before arriving in stores a few days later. Here is the schedule:
Online offers begin November 4 at 7 p.m. ET and new in-store offers begin November 7 at 5 a.m. local time.
Walmart wasn’t too specific but promised “incredible deals on toys, electronics and home goods.” They don’t specifically mention video games, but we can assume that electronics probably encompass Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo games.
A an overview of the sales event can be seen here although I suspect that more offers will be announced when the event begins. Walmart says more items will be added online Saturday, Nov. 7 at 12 p.m. ET, so sales will continue over the weekend.
Online offers begin November 11 at 7 p.m. ET with new in-store offers November 14 at 5 a.m. local time.
Again, nothing specific, but it looks like this event is aimed at techs. Things like TVs, computers and tablets will be cut down as well as movies, music and more. Again, I’m just guessing, but I imagine video games will be included as well.
Online offers begin November 25 at 7 p.m. ET with new in-store offers November 27 at 5 a.m. local time.
This event concludes Walmart’s Black Friday sales event with discounts on electronics, toys and just about everything.
Unfortunately, those looking for discounts for an Xbox Series X | S or PlayStation 5 probably won’t find them this year. Heck, you’ll be lucky if you can find the console in stock. Chip shortages have caused significant supply issues with next-gen consoles, so I doubt retailers will cut them back this year.
