With October’s lineup of free PlayStation Plus games being controversial with some fans, next month is already shaping up to be a very different one.
A new announcement from Sony has confirmed that the November line of PS Plus games will include three additional titles in addition to the usual number for PS4 and PS5.
This means that there could be between five or six free games to download next month, which is a huge increase.
The reason behind this is that Sony wants to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the PlayStation VR headset.
The system has proven to be very popular with gamers and has sold millions of units since its launch.
VR is littered with flawed devices and concepts, but the PSVR has done so well that an improved headset is in development.
It won’t happen until 2022 at the earliest and even then there is no guarantee that there will be enough stock for everyone.
But for gamers who have a PSVR headset, November will be a good month. And even for those who don’t, there’s no reason why you should add these games to your account.
While you may not yet be able to play it as intended, there may come a point where you decide to choose a PlayStation VR device and you will already have three games in your library.
Sony’s announcement does not confirm which games will be included but has provided this information:
“Since the launch of PS VR, we’ve seen a diverse range of unique experiences that showcase a sense of presence we’ve set for ourselves with this platform, including critically acclaimed games such as The Game action shooting images and sounds Rez Infinite, the epic rescue. mission platformer Astro Bot Rescue Mission, and the stealth action of Hitman 3. “
We don’t know which free VR games will be included in Sony’s roster, but we have a pretty good idea of when the lineup will be announced.
The tech giant is expected to unveil its plans for PlayStation Plus in November on October 27, the last Wednesday of the month.
This will be followed by those five or six free games that will release on November 2, the first Tuesday of the new month.
And as mentioned above, while there will be plenty of VR games to download, there will also be the usual two PS4 games included.
PlayStation VR is backwards compatible with the PS5, which means it’s worth downloading these new games if you own this console as well.
