Netflix Acquires Third Game Development Studio to Release More Free Games


Netflix has hired another game developer to power its new free game offerings for subscribers.

Mobile game developer Boss Fight Entertainment is now part of Netflix’s first-party video game studios initiative. The studio is best known for Android and iOS mobile games like Dungeon Boss, a popular RPG with voxel-style graphics. Boss Fight is the third independent studio to join Netflix behind Night School and Next Games.

Boss Fight will lend its mobile expertise to help Netflix release a salvo of free mobile games for subscribers as well as plan future titles for the eventual rollout of the company’s games to TVs, browsers and game consoles via the ‘application.
