Netflix Acquires Boss Fight as Part of Ad-Free Games Effort – Streaming Company Acquires No. 3 Video Game Company

Netflix acquires Boss Fight Entertainment, a Texas-based game developer focused on mobile titles for iOS and Android.

With this new partnership, Netflix is ​​expected to offer its subscribers a better ad-free gaming experience. However, the two companies did not disclose the exact value of the streaming platform’s latest acquisition.

The new acquisition of Boss Fight Entertainment marks the third acquisition of a video game company by Netflix. It’s also part of the streaming company’s efforts to deliver a better gaming experience.

According to the latest report from Tech Crunch, Netflix explained that Boss Fight is a game company that has enough expertise to develop different titles in different genres.

Thanks to Boss Fight’s gaming expertise, Netflix users should see better titles in the long run.

“Boss Fight’s mission is to provide simple, beautiful, and fun gaming experiences for our players wherever they want to play,” the founders of Boss Fight Entertainment shared via the official Netflix blog.

Scott Winsett, Bill Jackson and David Rippy also said that Netflix could help Boss Fight and other game companies without worrying about monetization.

Indeed, the streaming company is committed to offering titles without advertising. The new partnership with Netflix will also allow the game company to create original games that can provide a more engaging experience for gamers.

Before the video streaming company acquired Boss Fight Entertainment, it was able to buy out another company during the first week of March.

The developer of the title behind “Stranger Things: Puzzle Tales”, Next games, will release new mobile titles towards the end of March.

Netflix subscribers can access it through the streaming company’s official mobile app. But, they have to download the new games as separate apps.

It shows that Netflix really wants to deliver a better gaming experience, allowing it to become more than just a streaming service.

Last week, Netflix’s new Add Additional Member feature was supposed to fix the password sharing problem.

Meanwhile, Netflix’s new profile transfer feature aims to encourage profiteers to pay for their own accounts.
