LAKE NONA, Florida, November 29, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Ninja Code, one of the fastest growing children’s coding franchises, is opening its new location at 10743 Narcoossee Rd. at 29 november. Code Ninjas will serve the region by offering computer coding lessons for children. The lessons will allow children to solve problems as they create video games and collaborate with other children their age. This new learning center will establish an environment where children can learn about technology while having fun.
The Nona Lake location is owned and operated by local contractors Brock and Elissa Horton. With a background in digital animation and game production, Brock developed a passion for coding. Elissa spent over three years as an elementary school teacher assistant working in special education and found it to be one of the most rewarding professions. When Brock approached her about opening her own coding franchise for kids, she was into it.
“Coding is an invaluable language for children to learn and Code Ninjas allows them to hone their skills in an interactive and social environment,” says Brock. “We are giving children knowledge that they can take with them for years to come. It truly is one of the most rewarding opportunities you can have as a business owner. “
Brock recently lost his father and decided he would use his legacy to create something meaningful. He decided that opening a Code Ninjas learning center was a great way to honor his father; provide educational opportunities for a new generation of children.
Children of Lake Nona (ages 5-14) can look forward to the new Code Ninjas center where they can learn to code in a fun, safe and social environment. At Code Ninjas, the game is celebrated and STEM is cool. Everything in their centers – or dojos – is built around fun, which keeps kids coming back. The center also delivers the outcomes parents crave, as their kids learn the coding and problem-solving skills they’ll need in the changing job market.
“At Code Ninjas, children develop social and problem-solving skills, and they build confidence in a supportive environment,” says Elissa. Code Ninjas combines screen time and social interaction in a way that is productive and beneficial for children. And once they’ve hit all the belts, they can proudly take home their very own video game. . “
Code Ninjas offers a strong, game-based curriculum consisting of nine belts, just like martial arts. The lessons are self-paced, but not self-taught; children receive immediate help and encouragement from Code Senseis (teachers) and other students as they move from white belt to black belt. The program keeps kids motivated with small wins along the way and “Belt-Up” celebrations where they are given color-coded bracelets to mark their leveling up. By the time a child completes the program, they will publish their own app, available to the public in an app store.
Code Ninjas also offers a variety of opportunities for kids to get involved, including a flexible weekday schedule, Parents Night Out camps and weekend events.
