Announcement time, free games, leaks and release date

PlayStation’s PS Plus games haven’t always looked stunning, but they’re not bad at all. If you’re looking to expand your game library, you can do a lot worse than the titles that PlayStation offers with PS Plus. December 2021 was a great way to see the year, but now we look forward to January 2022 for a good start to the next year of PS Plus.

Here are the latest and all the details we know so far …

Announcements – When Do We Find Out What We’re Getting?

Playstation always announces its PS Plus games at the same time of the month every month. This makes predicting when we’re going to see the January 2022 PS Plus announcement pretty easy – we should see PlayStation ditching something at the following times:

  • 8:30 am PST – December 29
  • 11:30 am EST – December 29
  • 4:30 p.m. GMT – December 29

This announcement is always made on the Wednesday before games are added to the PS Plus lineup. Looking at this month’s games, we’re going to see the January 2022 PS Plus games available on January 6, 2022.

Predictions – We Could Really Get Anything

Right now, PlayStation offers players one PS5 game and two PS4 games – at least – each month with PS Plus. We don’t think that’s going to change anytime soon, but it does make it a bit difficult to predict what will become of us. PlayStation has a lot of titles out there.

At this time, no new game releases are scheduled for January 6 – so we don’t think we’ll have a Day One release from PS Plus. However, there should always be something interesting about the service.

First, for PlayStation 5 gamers, we think we’ll get our hands on Guard Dog Legion. This title has been out for a while now and it’s the type of game that would suit PS Plus’ gaming portfolio well – there’s plenty of content and expansions for PlayStation for sale alongside it.

WATCH THIS SPACE – Watch Dogs Legion is a London-based open-world action-rpg game

On top of that, we believe PlayStation 4 gamers will have the following games to look forward to:

Borderlands 3 is a game worth playing whether or not you are a fan of the series. He’s got a lot of heart and there’s a lot of content in there. It would also prepare people well for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands – due out in March!

PSYCHO – Would you be happy?

F1 2020 is also a solid choice given that PS Plus rarely offers racing games and it looks like F1 is going to be as popular as ever in the 2022/23 season. We don’t think we’re going to get the last game in F1, but the one before seems like a fair game.
